Wait, that's it! Her chair! You could climb its leg instead of hers, and have a much easier time of things! Sure, it's an age-pitted and doubtless rotten wooden relic, but at least it won't buck randomly or try to scratch any itches.
You've just hit upon this plan when the monolithic form of one of the invigilators approaches George's desk, doubtless called over for a question. You watch the woman's own sleek black shoes clack across the wilderness heavily, and decide to wait a little longer.
A short conversation passes, and then George herself arises, mules on again, to walk from the hall with rapid strides. You glance at your watch. The exam isn't over, so she must have asked to go to the toilet briefly. Could this be your moment? What safer time to climb a chair than when there's no one sitting in it? The problem of George sitting on you when she returns, or the invigilator - still hovering near the desk in the student's absence - spotting you en route are the only downsides.
Alternatively, wait until George returns, so you know exactly which parts of the seat are safe from butt-crushing.
