After spending nearly 15 minutes navigating through the government phone directory system you finally find your friend Todd.
"Things are nuts around here. I've had more people call me this last week than in the 2 years I've been at BioTech."
You know that Todd is quite a nerd, but more likeable than most geeks. (He doesn't have the nasal voice that so many of the other nerds have). You patiently wait for him to tell 2 lame pun jokes. Todd starts a knock, knock joke he heard today, but you can't take it any more. Interrupting him, you finally ask what he knows about the changes all the women seem to be undergoing.
"I figured you called about that. Well, I'll tell you what I know. Technically I am not supposed to tell you anything."
You hear sounds as if Todd is pushing buttons on his phone.
"Sorry," Todd says in a conspiratorial whisper, "I just set this line up on a 1024-bit encrypt code. The line can't be tapped; this is a strictly private and confidential call now.
"Here's the skinny: We're analyzing the comet dust and we've taken a number of blood samples from women who have been altered.
“The comet dust appears to be some type of crystal that changes shape and form at the atomic level. Almost like a diamond that could change it’s shape at will. As if it were actually made of liquid and not a solid. The dust changes shape constantly, but always remains fundamentally as a crystal.
“The DNA tests on women are more interesting. For women where we had blood and DNA tests before the comet and comparing this to DNA samples after the comet came, it appears that women’s exposed to the comet dust are having their DNA re-sequenced. This shifting of DNA strands has led to their massive growth and may have other effects as well.
“One more thing, I have a friend at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab, and she said they have been analyzing the comet’s flight path, and there is strong evidence that this was not a comet at all, but something capable of navigation and not just a comet subject to the earth and sun’s gravity.
