You are strangely drawn to the red sparkly shoes. That remind you of the Wizard of Oz. They rest on a cushion. But as you pick them up, you spot that they have a six inch heel, and aren't the flat slippers that you first thought.
Disappointed you go to put them back down, but you find you can't, instead you sit down and pull off your own shoes. In a panic you try to resist, but you pull the high heels on.
You are sure that only your toes will go in and then they will fall off. However, it feels like your foot is shrinking as you pull the first one you find your heel slides in comfortably. The second one goes on just as easily.
Timidly you get back to your feet expecting to wobble in the ridiculous new shoes. But you walk easily forward and back, the shoes clicking on the floor.
