You open your eyes just before the macine fires up and wish you'd had looked before blindly reaching out. More accurately, you wish you had paid more attention to the labeling. It didn't say 10% of your overall size, but rather, fraction of an inch. In reaching out, your hand hit two things: shrink button and the size button.
A strange tingle fills your body and everything expands around you. For a few seconds, you think your getting younger, seeing things all as a younger and younger kid would. That simply is not the case as you soon find yourself measured in inches and in a position where you'd be looking up at a baby and most action figures.
As the process continues, you notice one odd thing amidst your panic that this actually worked. Your shirt and jeans shrank fine, but your little feet now stood on your flip-flops, the foam structures big enough to make a bed out of at this point. Gazing at the machine, you see a semi-concealed warning sigh: foam may or may not be effected.
At an inch tall, you felt like the smallest thing on Earth, but continued to shrink. The bar which early had held your flipflop to the foot went from just over head to being far out of reach and early you'd never even thought of its existence as you never worried of anything that small. Of course now, things that small were the only ways to describe you.
As it at last came to a finish, you were just under a sixteenth of an inch, that distance being ten feet to you, and to think seconds ago you'd been 70 inches tall. Your toes then would've been long enough to hold a football field, your whole foot being 1600 feet long and your whole body making a city a midget, as you'd have towered around 2 miles tall.
There you stood on your enormous flip-flop, contemplating how to get down 160 feet and then up a few miles to fix this, to fix what was once right in your arms' reach.
