The daggers can be used for up close and personal combat, so they are very important to have.
The short sword is also a good weapon to have since it is relatively light and can be weilded one handed. This also means that you can strap it at your hip, rather than across your back.
The throwing stars are fairly new to the land. They are not as accurate as arrows so you don't use them very often. They also aren't never ending and so you must always retrieve and sharpen dulling stars. Throwing stars, if aim correctly, can be used to wound a spy or enemy in order to receive valuable information. Often though, the star will go awry, striking a killing blow. The stars can also be tainted with poison, if you wish to give someone a very painful and slow death. You don't do this because you are an elf, but you have seen it done.
You also obtained the Orb of Forsaken Fire, which will create fire anywhere, even in water. You also received 1,000 copper pieces and 75 silver pieces. The exchange rate is 1 silver piece=175 copper pieces. Use the money wisely. Not all things are free.
