The scroll seems very old. It feels dry and powdery as you unroll the first section. It is a drawing delicately done with ink and brush. It's hard to make out what the drawing depicts because the ink has faded and the scroll is cracked.
After a little study you realize that it is a drawing of a group of naked girls and boys. They seem to be playing some kind of ball game. The girls are on one side, the boys on the other. Between them is what you first take to be a ball, but when you look closer you see that it must be a globe. You can make out continents drawn on it's surface.
You unroll the rest of the scroll. There is lots of writing on the scroll, but not in your language, and only one other drawing.
At first, you can make no sense of the second drawing, until you realize that it is a horse and rider traveling through a landscape of rock.
