Crawl up shaft

You are very stubborn, aren't you? Despite all warnings, you crawl into a vertical shaft with smooth walls and then you attempt to climb up it.

You brace your back against one wall of the shaft, by putting pressure with your legs against the opposite wall, and begin inching your way up. It's tough going and you are thinking maybe there is an easier way. Of course there is an easier way! Your own stubborness is the reason you are in this tunnel struggling upwards an inch at the time.
