Chapter #5
A Dislocated Arm and a Giant Foot
by: Unknown
You collide with the carpeted floor, bouncing several times before coming to a halt. The world around you twists erratically as you attempt to stand up. Upon placing your left hand on the ground to steady yourself, pain shoots through the entire arm. Something clicks…
“Ah! Damn it,” you scream, grasping your left arm.
You hold out your shaking arm to see exactly what happened to it. Feeling along the forearm slowly you check for breaks and muscle damage. Nothing. You continue up the arm. Still nothing. Finally, you reach the shoulder. Like someone had pelted your arm with a brick, you feel the pain course through your entire body.
“It must be dislocated,” you say through clenched teeth.
Luckily, you know what to do. Unfortunately, you do not have the time to do it. A receptionist’s pump slams down in front of you. You have landed underneath her desk.
Your arm still courses with pain, but you know that would be nothing compared to being crushed underneath her mammoth foot. The receptionist rolls her chair back to grab something on the table behind her and allows you to get a look at her face. Clover green eyes, strawberry hair, plump face… It could only be…
“Cecilia!” you scream aloud in surprise.
Cecilia, one of your good friends at the college, is right above you, and she does not even know it. She rolls her chair back forward and plants her feet firmly on the ground, nearly crushing you. Looking to your left, you see a gigantic black pump and to the right, the exact same thing. You look up and see her legs extend skyward to the edge of the chair.
The clamoring sound of a telephone can be heard. Cecilia picks up the phone and being talking in her booming voice. You realize you need to get away from her feet immediately as Cecilia decides to shift her pumps.
