The Cavern

As Gomamon later discovered, he didn't need to leave the water to search for a method to gain weight. A few minutes earlier, he decided to swim in the river to clear his thoughts on the subject, stubbornly coming to the conclusion that he wouldn't eat the fish he befriended. As he swam around, the river got deeper and wider and when Gomamon was lolling around he took notice of a very big hole near the side.

Curious, he seeked to explore it. He swam into the darkness and continued swimming through the long tunnel for what felt like a large amount of time until he came across a cavern.

Gomamon surfaced and gazed around. It was huge! The cavern stretched around two miles in every direction and the only thing that filled the emptyness were the spikes sprouting from the ground and ceiling.

No wait! Someone was there. Gomamon peered closely into the blackness until he realized with a thrill the someone was...
