"Are you coming, honey?" your mom asks you. You know that what she is really trying to say is, "Get your scrawny butt out of the freaking car right NOW!" But she chose to put it in the form of a question and so you take advantage of it.
"No, Mom. I don't like this motel. It's dingy and dirty...plus it'll probably have beds that sqeak every time you touch it with your fingertip and will cave in on you in the middle of the night. I'm also getting some really negative vibes."
Your mom just smiles. "Aw, honey. Don't think like that...think positively. It won't be so bad once you try it!" She flashes you a heartwarming, disgusting smile.
"No, mom. I'm going to stay in the car and sleep here. I'll be fine; we have food and soda in the cooler and I got my pillow and some books. I'm NOT going in there." You talk slowly to your mom as if she is mentally unstable. However, you still find yourself very convincing.
Suddenly your dad comes to the rear car door.
"What's all the fuss about? C'mon, honey, we're going to our room."
"Dear," your mother starts to tell your father. "Your daughter doesn't want to come. She says she's getting...negative vibes." Your mother says this as if she was talking about cockroaches.
