the place was called Iron Dragon, the local asian oriented buffet that boasted everything from thai to cantonese food. They were in heaven. The lady at the front counter was a petitie woman, about 5.1, she stared tiredly at both Rhonda and lisa before ringing them up and bringing them to a booth near the far wall.
The pills had made the food aroma unbearable , both the women got up and fetched plates , Rhonda started over by the spare ribs then worked her way through the genreal tso chicken, orange beef , pork fried rice and shrimp curry. her plate was already piled high by the time she passed lissa on the other side, who was constructing a lo mein island in a sea of fried shrimp.
By the time they both got back to their booth , their stomachs were practically yelling at them, rooting their appetites one like their own personal cheerleading squad. They dug in and were happy to discover that the pills not only made them want to eat , but made what they were eating taste 10 times better ! As if theire taste bus had grown their own taste buds and so on , it was almost a sensory over load.
The second round was even better seafood delight, crab meat and cheese casserole, not to mention those little fried biscuits coated with sugar, Rhona and lisa plowed through their harvest, soon after they went up a third time , then a forth. The asian waiters watched them from the far corner , they came off partly amazed partly disqusted , whispering to each other in whatever language they spoke . 'oh my god they think were sooo fatt" lisa stated, bits of food escaping her mouth. Rhonda laughed and looked around , in the buffet it seemed as if the only happy people in there were fat .
Plump middle aged women in sweatpants and tees conversed excitingly with other equally plump people. Mean while there were a table of college students in the far corner, typical frat boys and their stick figure girlfreinds, the girls talked to each other and pushed what little food they had around on their plate as their boyfreinds scarfed down their take."yeah i think i can get used to this " Rhonda said quietly '' so what are you doing tommorow?'lisa asked.
