Ashley excuses herself to the bathroom, unable to stand the fact that she's on a date with the most popular boy in school, Mike Richards. She looks in the mirror as she brushes her long, blonde curls. But her reflection stops matching up with her; as she brushes her hair, her reflection expands and gets fatter by the second.
Ashley does everything she can to stop herself from screaming. Her reflection levels off at about 300 large pounds, and says four words: "Vanity gets you nowhere." It picks up a piece of cake from thin air and eats the entire thing in one bite, and it her reflection gains a few pounds, so does Ashley.
