After giving the pie a quick blow to cool it down slightly, Donna took her first bite and discovered that it was absolutely delicious. She savoured the rich, sweet flavours as she chewed and she grunted her approval of it.
“This is great” She said as she swallowed the first mouthful, licking the remains of the pie from the corners of her mouth.
Granny Pinciotti merely smiled in response and continued to watch her granddaughter eat. Of course Donna had no way of knowing that Granny Pinciotti had actually added her own special ingredient to the pie. Donna finished her large slice of pie and licked her fingers in satisfaction.
“Won’t you have some more my dear?” Inquired Granny Pinciotti innocently.
“Oh, I’d better not” Said Donna, not wanting to actually say she was watching her figure because she didn’t want to get Granny started on the subject again.
Suddenly Donna frowned slightly as she felt a strange sensation building inside of her, and Granny Pinciotti acknowledged the frown with a smile.
“Something wrong dear?” She asked.
Donna could feel her movements becoming more and more sluggish and pretty soon the sensation spread to her head, which caused her to feel dizzy.
“I don’t feel so good” Donna said, her voice sounding much slower than usual.
Granny continued to smile as she watched her granddaughters eyes become unfocused until she finally collapsed onto the table sound asleep.
