Peeves, passing Hermonie, notices something on her shoe lace--something like a doll, a little Snape doll, perhaps. "Girls have the weirdest sense of fashion."
"What's that?"
Your new shoe decoration. Why would you put a doll of Professor Snape on your shoe?"
Hermonie looks down, then seeing the professor, leaps back startled, but as he's holding on to her lace, he comes with her, causing her to shake her foot violently to free herself of the hitchhiker as she gives a little shriek.
Holding on for dear life, Snape shouts, "Hermonie! Stop that!"
She stops and she and Peeves look down at her foot.
"Professor Snape? Is that you?" she asks.
"Yes, it is, now first things first, put down your hand so I can climb on. There's no need for us to bother Dumbledore with this. We'll get it straightened out."
Peeves begins to laugh. "For once it wasn't me."
"No one is talking to you," Hermonie snaps. "Professor Snape! What are we going to do with you?"
