Snape's feet were completely stuck to the floor! His feet were glued right in the middle of a sickly green puddle of Neville's potion! He tried lifting his feet, but nothing happened. The class was finding it very hard not to laugh! Even Neville had a smile on his face! Snape's face however, was turning an even lighter shade of pale and his mouth was set in a grim line. "Scurgify!" bellowed Snape. Nothing happened. "Untrappus!" he yelled again. Again, nothing happened. The class was getting more and more excited. Suppose Snape was stuck to the floor forever? No more potion lessons! "This is more entertaining than quidditch!", thought Harry. Meanwhile, Snape was still trying to free himself from the potion's grasp. "Removiusfeetis!" said Snape, getting as enraged as it was possible to get. Still nothing happened. He looked up, snarling at the whole class. "You will all remain here until school is over. As for you lot, he said, looking at Harry and Neville, both of you detestable little trolls will have detention everyday for the next month! Disgusting little scumbugs! What else can one expect from two measly little gryfindors! The most dispicable house of all! Filled with pitiful nitwits!" he finished, almost shaking the classroom with the loudness of his voice. The whole class became very quite. Neville was shaking with fear. Harry, on the other hand , was shaking with anger! How dare Snape set such a punishment for what was an accident! Hermione, who had been very quite throughout the entire incident, now had a strange look on her face. Snape had called Gryfindors "pitiful nitwits". He was going to punish them all for spmething that wasn't their fault! He had set detention for an accident! She made up her mind what to do. "Reducto digitalus!" she cried loudly, pointing her wand directly at Snape's feet. Then-
