The mass of green protoplasmic ooze with its glowing, luminous core sloshed about the underground cavern it had been forced into. It was the Hamidon, and it had a mission.
"EARTH IS IMPURE, INFESTED WITH HUMANS, EVIL LIVING CREATURES THAT DESPOIL ITS LANDS AND WATERS. I MUST TRY AND STOP THEM AT ANY COST," it said in a voice that no human or superhuman could understand.
"MANY TIMES I HAVE TRIED TO LEAD MY CREATIONS IN THE CONQUEST OF PARAGON CITY," it said as it crawled around the dark, stone cavern, it's amoebea-like body absorbing the stone around it to make it smooth, "BUT EACH TIME I HAVE MET WITH DEFEAT, DRIVEN FURTHER INTO THE EARTH BY THE SO-CALLED 'HEROES' THAT DEFEND THE CITY ABOVE. AND MY CREATURES ARE DEFEATED EVERY DAY."
Hamidon slid into the center of the chamber and paused. "I MUST TRY AGAIN, WITH DIFFERENT TACTICS."
It expanded itself, slamming into the ground at the top of the chamber and casting its mutagenic powers into the ground.
Normal animals all around the city, raccoons, cats, dogs, snakes, rats, and zoo animals, began growing in size and strength. Their intelligence grew to human-levels and in some cases beyond. And lastly, he infused them with a tremendous hunger for human flesh, the ability to swallow anything whole, and the ability to digest anything they swallowed.
"GO, MY CHILDREN. GO AND CONSUME THE HEROES THAT INFEST THIS CITY. SEEK OUT THE VILLAINS AS WELL, AND OFFER THEM THE GIFT OF YOUR APPETITE. IF THEY WILL NOT CONVERT, THEN CONSUME THEM. PURGE THIS CITY. SO SPEAKS THE HAMIDON."
