Chapter #3

A sick feeling

Kairi has been feeling lonely for some time now. Her feelings still hurt everytime she thinks about her beloved Sora, who was trapped in the other world and no doubt fighting off evil forces that were seeking revenge on Ansem. She tries as hard as she can to not think about him, but it's of no use.

One day, while walking outside her home along the beaches, Kairi looked to the grassy patches on her right to see several spotted mushrooms growing from within. This struck her with curiousity, as it was very uncommon to see mushrooms growing on this part of the island.
"Well, I suppose it doesn't hurt to try." Kairi said, plucking one of these mushrooms and taking a bite out of it. She immediately dropped it when she could feel its sour taste and then decided to move on.

That's when it started to hit her. Kairi clutched her stomach as it throbbed with pain. Little did she realize those mushrooms were causing her to grow in size as well. Eventually, the growing stopped at 100 feet tall, big enough for nearly the whole island to see her.

Kairi got up to view the island from her new perspective. As soon as she gasped in amazement, her stomach growled once again.
"Oh... why is my stomach growling? I know I had breakfest a short while ago." Kairi said. She had to find something to eat right away, but what? Kairi peeked up to the sky and saw something... something familiar between herself, Sora, and some other friends.
