Chapter #7
... both sets of memories?
by: Unknown
As he thought of his wish, Adam noticed that the house around him changed.
He now had vague memories of the time his room was moved downstairs in the new timeline. He couldn't quite recall what had moved up instead. Maybe it was a study or something.
Another thing he quickly realized was that the doors were wider than they had been before, which, given his new body, made a lot of sense.
The stuff in his room changed, too. This bed was reinforced and there was a mini fridge next to it. The games and CDs on his shelves looked different as well, but there was nothing specific he could see about that at a mere glance.
His wardrobe hadn't changed much from the outside, but its open door revealed that there were fewer clothes in it, although obviously much larger.
Once he didn't see anything else in his room that had obviously changed --- excluding the numerous wrapping papers and such that were scattered on the floor --- he decided that he should probably at last try to figure out how much had changed between the members of his family when reality shifted.
He was pleased to note that he and Richard were still good friends in this reality. Richard always made sure to bring along some food whenever he came over.
The first difference he discovered as that his younger brother, Mikey, had been pretty much raised to be a feeder for Adam in all of his two years of existence, and that his parents --- always thinking ahead --- recently had started discussing whether getting another pair of hands might be a good idea down the road. Mikey absolutely loved climbing on and playing with Adam's fat whenever he wasn't feeding him. It was Mikey's favorite toy by far. Another thing he had started doing was to try and take his naps on Adam's body, with varying degrees of success.
Meanwhile Derek, his older brother by three years, had been helping Adam move around whenever he needed to. As a consequence, he was quite buff for an eight-year-old. He also delighted in feeding Adam whenever he got the chance. He constantly bragged about his fat younger brother at school and could not understand it when other people didn't share his enthusiasm. His best friend, Julie, wasn't one of them.
In fact, when the two of them were spending time together at Adam's family's house, that meant that there was quite a high chance that they were feeding Adam. When they wanted to do something else, they headed over to Julie's house, where the mere proximity to Adam did not tempt them to abandon their games or projects to feed him.
