"Actually, I've already gained a few pounds. It is the coach's idea. He thinks that I might make a good linebacker if I get bigger. So I welcome the Freshman 15. In fact, I'm almost there." He pulled up his shirt to reveal that his sixpack was gone.
"Well," Greg was enjoying the fact that his friend Mike was gaining too. :You had better be sure that the weight you pack on is muscle and not fat like our buddy here." He slapped Reese's big belly which quivered.
"Don't talk, fatboy." Reese snapped back at Greg and gave his friend's belly a frendly slap back. "I've worked hard to develop this belly and I'm damn proud." He stuck it proudly foreward and smiled at his two friends. "Besides, you are catching up fast."
"Nah," Mike answered. "With all the football workouts, I'll be lucky if I keep the weight I gained. Greg might have a problem though. Until you get that knee back on track, it's going to be hard to keep in shape like high school. You can either watch what you eat or be a blimp like Reese."
"Don't worry about me, Mike!" Greg was sharp in reply. "I think I know how to manage my weight."
