Joey decided to stay put. He thought, in their drunken state, they'd forget about the noise. He was wrong. He was also wrong about the boys not getting up to investigate. The only thing he was right about, was that they didn't choose one man. All of the boys got up from the couch in unison, a decision not made out of a decision to stick together, but a mutually assured loss of seating. They looked at each other more than towards the stairs, and a second later, all of them dashed back to the couch, laughing. One boy wasn't fast enough, though, and fell to the floor.
"You have to go investigate the strange noise," Justin said.
"But make sure to be... right... back!" Harry chimed in.
Harry had been surprisingly fast, considering he seemed to be the least fit of all four boys. In the end it was ____ who hadn't been able to make it back in time.
