Marie gets up and fumbles to put on her glasses. She goes around and gathers up the remotes, most of which are still lying out. "It's for your own good. I won't let my friends be so evil," Marie wispered before she wandered off with them.
Sally rolled over as a light came on from the kitchen. Puzzled she sat up. Her quick thinking added up when she noticed Marie was gone and so were the remotes. Leaping up her heavy footfalls woke Cathrine and Kelly.
"What in the world is wrong with you Sally?" Cathrine questioned groggily.
Kelly just rolled back over, grunting and pulling her sleeping bag up close to her head. "This is why you go to the washroom before bed, Sally."
Sally was already dashing out into the kitchen though and sure enough, out on the old picknic table in the back yard, Marie was bashing the remotes to pieces with a hammer!
Through gritted teeth Sally slammed the back door shut behind her, "What do you think you're doing? Those things took hours to make!"
Marie looked up with teary eyes, "I can't let you hurt people with your inventions Sally, you're so smart and better than that." Her head was bowed, dark hair covering her face and her glasses shining dimly under the moonlight.
Grumbling Sally led Marie back in by her wrist and sat her down on the couch. Both Cathrine and Kelly had drifted back off to sleep.
"You wait right there! Just be glad I don't call your mother," Sally snapped as she went up to her room.
Furious she paced about in her room. There was only one thing on her mind. She didn't want to, but she knew she had to. They were friends but there was no need for this! She poured everything into those remotes.
Removing a box from under her bed, Sally removed her new prototype remote. Not only able to shrink people, but able to teleport them too by taking them into the device to be replaced later. It was her answer to be able to shrink people from further away. It didn't have any spiffy sounds or light effects either. Just a quick invisible beam that made the target vanish.
"You're so going to get it Marie," Sally grumbled as she stomped back downstairs.
