Cuddling back up in her sleeping bag, Marie decides to trust her friends. As bad as it may seem, they have all been friends for as long as she can remember. She couldn't betray them.
The next morning over breakfast Marie sat quietly having a bowl of cereal as Kelly exploded with all her ideas.
"It's going to be great! I'm gunna be like a giant monster, stomping around and scaring them. Maybe I'll even eat some of them up. Oooh," she slaps Sallys arm even though Sally obviously is paying attention, "Just imagine what that would be like!"
Kelly leans in close and opens her mouth in front of Sally after taking a big spoonful of cereal.
"Graw. Im going to chew you up and swallow you Sally and digest you in my big bad tummy!" She sits back down laughing away.
Marie has never seen Kelly act like this before. No amount of sugar in the world has ever done this to her.
When things settle down Marie quietly says, "I was thinking of taking the bus to China town today to see if my comics are in yet."
Kelly looks confused, "Comics? Comon who needs em! There's way too much fun to be had!"
Sally perks up, "Hey yeah wait, isn't that new set you've been waiting for suppose to be in today?"
"Maybe I'll go with ya then," Kelly says with a mouthful. "If you don't mind waiting till after breakfast."
Nodding Marie goes back to her cereal, "I think that is what I may do. Either that or..." Before Marie can finish her thought the mail is delivered and Kelly leaps up to rush and get it.
Smiling across the table Sally takes a tiny person out of her backpack and drops it into Kellys cereal.
Everyone waits quietly as Kelly rushes back in and tosses the mail to Sally, "Nothing for me again!" She gasps.
When Kelly sits down she sees something in her cereal and gasps. Growling at Sally about the bugs in her house she picks it out with her plump fingers and puts it on the floor.
Marie sits there uncomfortable for a moment. Kelly begins to poke away at it. Remembering all the times Kelly tormented bugs for hours at times while waiting for her baseball games to start at the park Marie realizes the little guy is in for a world of pain.
