Kelly decides that going to the park downtown would be a lot more fun than anything else. It's where she plays most of her sports and where she usually hunts for things to step on anyway. Why not start off on familiar turf.
The day was sunny and warm. Kelly stood at the edge of the park, carrying her white rubber sandals with transparent candy red straps in her right hand as her bare feet padded through the dew covered grass. The cool green grass felt good against her feet, getting them damp as she walked into the park. It was a hot walk over and it felt good to feel the open air against her sweaty feet.
Looking around, Kelly considered where to go. Skateboarders usually hung out near the fountain. Not that she really had a problem with them though, but who knows who may be there. Plus it was too early for most of them to be out already. Otherwise there was the main park near the central garden. People usually took morning walks there and thats where Kelly would sit and smush bugs before baseball. She usually got droped off at the park early before warm-ups even started.
