Matt figures it is better then nothing. He has a cage with a glass wall so she can see in. But she didn't figure he could see out, or she did and didn't care.
She feeds him some leftovers every six hours. And she skips him when she sleeps. She snores very seldomly, so when she sleeps, he is only disturbed by her moving at night.
She placed him next to her bed, so he is forced to look out over at her when he tries to sleep.
Matt would like it very much if he could get out. But he hasn't tried since what she said. After all, he would not want to see her stomach in full speed.
