Matt decided to stay inside the mousehole. Either Andy or his parents would have to come home soon, he thought. He decided to sit down. All of the sudden, to his shock, he heard a voice call his name from INSIDE the mousehole! The voice was familiar...
"DAD??" cried Matt. "Oh my God! You've shrunk to my size, too!! But how?"
"Well..." Matt's dad began, sheepishly, "I saw a jar of that one liquid and thought it was a protein drink that your mom said she would make up for me. Apparently, it was your shrinking potion. But...wow! Son, it works!! Do you know what this means?"
Matt's father, Roger, was also a scientist, but a rather absent-minded one. Roger had always encourage his son's scientific endeavors, no matter how crazy they sounded. And they often were. The shrinking potion was the first crazy science experiment that actually worked! And Matt could see that his father was proud. Matt could also see that his father had the same idea, also using a gum wrapper to cover himself. Good thing Matt chewed a lot of gum!
Matt paused before answering, "It means that we are the two smallest men in the world?"
"It mean...you're hit on one of the biggest discoveries of all time!!" cried Roger.
