The shrunken world around you is still hazy with detail. The basement is filled with equipment enlarged. Chairs that once fit you now the size of a house, and the dirty floor you’re on reaches out for miles. What you can see is in the distance, seemingly unreachable at your current size. As you check around, you realize the door upstairs has been left open. Dammit, you knew you should have told Kellie how important this affair was. You didn’t want anyone coming in to see you like this, before you could find a way to reverse it. Though, at this size, it would be very difficult.
As you’re pondering, you can hear what sounds like an air dryer close to your ear. It shakes your body and strikes fear into your heart. You turn around quickly and see four legs of thick golden fur. Oh no, you think. Tango has been let out down. Your family’s young Cardigan Welsh Corgi was always a favourite of yours, even if you never wanted him down in the lab. And thanks to negligence, he is staring at your terrified bug-sized self. To any passerby, it’d be a regular dog curious about nothing. To you, it may be life or death. You gulp, and he gulps back.
The corgi stares down at you with its thick black eyes and lowers its head with wonder. You question whether or not you should run, but given your size it seems worthless. All you can do is wait for the giant beast to decide your fate.
Suddenly, a doofy smile grows on its face and makes a soft woof.. You smile. Tango always does that for family, and proves he recognizes for you. The sudden fear you once had eases into relaxation. Sure, Tango and the rest of the world is ginormous, but with him by your side, it doesn’t seem too bad. It lowers its head to get scratched just where it wants to, right under the chin. Tango’s hair was always soft, but now it’s luscious at your size. It’s calming for the both of you, when in a sudden jolt Tango unleashes his giant pink tongue on you. It lifts you in the air by a distance, as you slide down the slick and all-encompassing pink. The licking is disgusting, but can’t help you feel silly. Tango lays down across the floor, a giant compared to you. In a bellow you hear, “Tango! Tango! I’ve got something special for you!” It’s Kellie, with her voice reverberating through the basement. Both you and the dog look at each other.
You decide to…
