The rubble is pinning you down, squeezing your chest and thus making it nearly impossible to breathe. You feel as if you are about to faint when you notice a strange tingling sensation in your stomach area quickly spreading through your entire body.
Drowsily, you wonder about this phenomenon for a moment before drifting off. This is when you notice that the weight of the debris is getting lighter. Surprised, you take in an unencumbered breath of air. Hope clears your mind and you come to your senses.
Figuring that someone must have helped you, you look around - and freeze. There is no one there. And the debris hasn't moved at all, it is still there, hovering above you. But it is huge now, as is the rest of the room. Oddly enough, your mind is incredibly clear and you have no problem accepting the fact that you can't be more than 12cm in height.
Getting up, you exit the rubble's shadow and get an overview over what is left of the lab. Everything is a total mess covered in chemicals and glass. You yourself are covered in a multi-colored mixture of chemicals. Putting things together, you figure that this is what caused you to shrink. Well, even if that is true, this doesn't help you figure out a way to return to normal. You aren't sure if your teacher Miss Higgins would be able to help you, since you never heard of anything like that except for in cheap movies.
Anyhow, you have to decide what to do next. The door to the lab is shut and the knob high above your reach. So, there is no way for you to leave there unto your own power. By an odd act of chance, some of the rubble has, however, piled up in front of the broken windows. You could climb up there and then exit. Fortunately, the lab is on the first floor and there are some bushes in front of the windows. Once outside, you could try to find someone who can help you. On the other hand, if you stay in the lab, Miss Higgins is bound to come and check on you (after all, she is already way overdue). She may be distraught at times, but she is your chemistry teacher and effectively responsible for you at the moment (what a weird way of thinking.).
