Yes and no, Gilja would follow him for now but staying at his house didnt sit right with you. It was likely that Eragon was poor, and having even a single extra mouth to feed would be prohibitive for a peasant family.
Maybe she could have him help her find a place to stay within town. Gilja felt that after reading the book, she had a decent idea of who was who in town, and that they were a tolerable enough lot to strangers. Yet how could she possibly convince them that Drak ment no harm once he hatched again? was a prospect you didnt want to think about right now.
"Thanks for the offer, but I couldn't impose on you. preffer it if you just got me out of here first its very cold if you havent noticed. Besides I'm sure that I can find an inn at the town," she replied, making sure he understood she would not ever think to stay at his cabin. Besides, whoever he lived with might get the wrong idea about her.
"Suit yourself," replied Eragon, shrugging his shoulders. On the way back to town, there was the sight of a large waterfall in the distance, and a clear valley overlooking a small town. Back in Draconia, where things were mostly urban and developed, but here, there was wilderness as far as the eye could see.
"Its quite a sight dont you think?" Eragon asks you while staring over the valley and the town of his home.
"Its gorgeous!"
"Aye! That it is!" he said with considerable ppride.
"Where do you live Eragon?" Gilja asked curiously. The book had said that his farm was a bit off in the distance compared with the rest of the town. as to where his farm would be compaired to the town.
"My farm? Well its that one over there by the road leading to Therinsford which the traveling merchants use to come out here once a year in fact they are a little bit late but hopefully nothing bad happened to them on their way out here." Eragon said pointing to a small cabin bear the edge of the forest but close enough to the town where they could travel between the cabin and town but keep their privacy.
"We better get moving. You don't want want to be stuck outside at night because then it gets really cold out in the spine," said Eragon. "If we did, we'd have to huddle up together to keep warm."
Eragon had a crooked smile on his face.
Gilja rolled her eyes, "Right, we'd better get moving,"
Did he look... disappointed for a moment? Well, too bad for him. said with a little hope that youd want to spend the night outside with you.
Shocked that he would even suggest staying out here you demand he takes you back to the village now before you lose your temper and hit him. Taken aback he starts leading the way back to the town while you continued to carry Draks egg close to your heart the whole way down.
