"Aren't you lucky?" you say. "You'll be back to normal in about 24 hours." Kouji doesn't reply. You look up at him. "Kouji?" "Huh?" he says, snapping out of his daze. "Oh, yeah." "You should be happy," you say. "I am," Kouji replies. "I was just thinking." "About what?" you ask. "It's not important," Kouji replies, wanting to drop the subject. You get ready to protest, but you then hear kids shouting. You race forward to see what the comotion is. Kids are playing soccer on the lower field. The ground trembles and you glimpse Kouji's sneakers beside you. You continue watching the game and after 5 minutes, a boy with a backwards hat and square goggles scores a goal. Kids on his team cheer, while the other team boos. The goggle boy slaps high-fives to his teammates and shakes hands with the other team. Then they go separate ways and the boy with the goggles heads your way. "Oh, no!" you exclaim. "You gotta hide! Fast!" "I'm not going anywhere," Kouji says. "Do you know what'll happen if people see you?!" you cry. Kouji doesn't answer. He just watches the boy make his way up the small hill. When the boy reaches you both, he smiles at you, but it fades as he glimpses Kouji's big sneakers. He looks up and sees Kouji and gapes in horror. "K---K---Kouji?!" he says, shocked. "Hey, Takuya," Kouji says.
