Sam Tyler was a new addition to the Greater Manchester Police Service. He may have been new on the job, but he knew every trick in the book. But nothing he knew could have prepared him for what happened on the 8th of March, 2006.
Sam was chasing a mugger in his astra, when the criminal stopped his car and leapt out, running accross peoples' gardens. Sam stopped his car and got out, but just as he began to run after the guy, an old lady in her car mowed him down, and his head smashed into the tarmac, knocking him out.
When he awoke, he was on a bench in a park. Something wasn't right. He knew where he was though, and started to walk back to his flat, it looked to be 6pm. When he saw someone walk past him, he was stunned.
It was an anthro pokemon, a Pichu by the look of it. He was shaken, couldn't think straight. He thought it was a guy in a suit, until he saw the date on the front of a newsagent. 8th March, 1973.
He entered the shop, desperate to disperse his fears, but they were confirmed when he saw the clerk, a burly Pidgeott morph.
"Excuse me, is that date correct?", asked Sam.
"Yes it is, Officer", replied the Pidgeott.
"Why are you wearing that mask, sir?" asked Sam.
"Look, little Eevee. You may be the Fuzz, but I won't tolerate wisecracks, now buy something, or get out", he said, returning to his paper.
Little Eevee? Sam knew that he was 5' 8" and slightly built, but...
Sam ran to the glass windows and stared at his reflection, what he saw nearly knocked him out again.
An Eevee in a 70's police uniform stared back at him. Brown fur covered his face and arms. His hat had holes for his ears, allowing them to stick out. As he turned to leave the shop, still in shock, he saw something new. A large bushy tail was sticking out through a hole in his trousers.
Sam had to get to the station, he had to find out what had happened
