You look outside and see that the jock is still there, looking at you. As you stare out the window at him, he starts to saunters slowly up the drive, heavy shoulders filling a tight green t-shirt tucked into snug black jeans, until he is literally at the door. He presses the doorbell and you have to decide, quick, do you let him in? Well, since you watched him as he came up the drive, you have no choice. You swing open the door and turn to say hello, pulling down your sweater over your gut, where it tried to creep up.
“Hi,” you say. “We’re just moving in.”
“Hi, that’s what I hoped,” he replies. “I’m Simon,” he says, “it’ll be nice to have you around. Not many guys our age in this development.” He smiles broadly, and you take in the perfect white teeth and the twinkling brown eyes - as if the perfect body were not enough!
“Do you like to swim?” Simon continues. “Your pool’s not filled and it’s pretty hot. You must be boiling in that sweater. You can come over to our pool. Or do you need a hand moving stuff in? I’m pretty strong, I’d be glad to help,” he adds almost as an afterthought. Taking in his bulging arms and thick chest, you think ‘pretty strong’ is an understatement. You’d like to go swimming - but you don’t want to take off your shirt in front of this handsome guy - at least, not yet. Plus, you know Dad wants the truck unloaded pronto. He’ll probably already wondering where you are.
“The pool sounds great, but we’ve got to get the truck unloaded.”
“I’ll help,” Simon says assertively. “Just tell me where things go.” He strides over to the truck and up the ramp, and you can see that his legs are developed just like the rest of him. At least he seems friendly, unlike the “muscle bods” you knew back in Chicago. Your daydream of how he’d look fatter pops up as you start to follow him, but you banish it for now.
An hour or two of hard labor, with Simon’s willing help, and the truck is empty - though the house is full of boxes. You’re feeling bushed, and your Dad is distinctly drooping, though Simon seems to be hardly affected - of course, he’s carrying around a lot less weight than you are.
