Matty manages to fit into Ad's surf shorts, maybe they were a little tighter than last year, but they were OK.
Ad on the other hand had definitely grew to a larger size and the shorts were far too small.
Ad doesn't know what to say, so makes up and excuse of stomach ache and drowns his sorrows by drinking 8 beers in the space of two hours.
Ad crashes out on the couch and Matty decides to let him sleep over.
Come morning and Ad is still crashed out. Matty begins cleaning up, and Ad comes round. Realizing his t-shirt has lifted up a little, the first thing he does is pull down his t-shirt to cover his slight belly.
Matty just laughs at Ad and the two smile and agree it was a fun night, despite Ad lying about the swim shorts.
Matty's girlfriend had to work all weekend at a conference up north, so Matty could use Ad's company over the weekend and asks Ad to stay.
