You think about what the creature has just told you. A wide grin appears on your face. You really don’t care all that much about how or when you would grow, as long as your body would just experience growth spurts every day.
“Well then, surprise me!” you respond, as the creature looks up at you with eager anticipation.
“Very well, then” it replies. “Your body will revert back to its normal size after you fall asleep at night. However, from the moment you get up in the morning, you may or may not experience growth spurts, which will strike completely at random. I will make this happen, starting right now!”
“Ooooh…” you say with a smile on your face. “I can’t wait! This is gonna be so cool!”
“Remember, Jake… You won’t know when you’re going to grow! Not only that, but the intensity of the growth spurt is completely at random as well!”
You stare at him with a confused look on your face.
“Uhh… What do you mean?”
“It means, that some days you’ll grow a little, while other days, you’ll grow a lot! It’s completely random…”
You just sigh as you bow your head while deep in thought.
“Ooooh what the heck… I just wanna grow! I don’t care when or how much…. As long as I’m growing!” you cheer.
“Very well!” the creature responds, as it snaps its fingers, just before vanishing into thin air.
“Awwww… he left!” you sigh to yourself, when you realize that the creature has gone.
You quietly turn around and walk out the room. Later on, you slip into the house via the garage door. Your mum is sound asleep, so isn't awake when you come home.
You quietly change clothes in your room, and just put on a large pair of underwear, which were bought for you as a joke one christmas. You then try to climb onto your bed but the wooden frame starts to creak the moment you make contact. Deciding to be cautious rather than risk breaking your bed, and waking up your mum you remove your sleeping bag from the closet and lay it out on the floor, before crawling into it.
The moment you doze off, your body starts to shrink. Since you are already asleep, you never notice how your body dwindles back to its original 5 foot 6 height. Within moments you are back to your old self again, like nothing out of the ordinary had happened to you.
You wake up the next morning feeling the same as always. You're sleepy and groggy, and would much rather just stay in bed all day, than have to get up, shower, get dressed, and catch the bus to school. But, its Friday, and you know that the weekend is just around the corner anyway, so it doesn't matter that much.
As soon as you get out of the shower, you stand in the bathroom admiring your body in the large mirror which is hanging from the wall. You are about to get dressed, after drying off from the shower when you are overcome with an odd, tingling feeling, which goes over your entire body like a wave.
Suddenly, you gasped out loud, as you begin to remember the events of the previous day.
“Oh no… I’m growing! I’m already having my first growth spurt of the day!”
You get as close to the counter as possible and notice how you torso is higher from the floor! You slowly begin growing bigger and taller!
Within a few seconds, you have reached the height of 5’9”.
“Whew… I only grew by three inches…” you sigh, when you feel the growth spurt come to a sudden halt.
But… when will you grow again? And, how big will you get?
