This choice: Go get some cake first.  •  Go Back...
Chapter #5

That Was Easy

    by: Unknown
It would be best to go get some of the cake first. You want to undo this unwise prank as fast as you can. The cake is still in your room and you rush to go get it. You are running out of the house when there is a crunch beneath your foot and you slip on something. Whatever you stepped on causes you to fall flat on your back. Then you remember that you have left the purple peanut butter in the kitchen.

You are afraid to look at what, or who, you have stepped on. When all you see is a doll, you breathed a sigh of relief. It would be a good idea to get that dangerous substance out of Dora’s reach though. Unfortunately, the jar of purple peanut butter is empty when you get to it. “Dora,” you call out. “Dora, answer me,” you call out again with rising panic in your voice as she does not respond. Great, this situation is spiraling out of control. You have two shrunken cousins you must find now.

Barney is in more danger right now so you should find him first. You make your way out of the house while looking for any signs of Dora on the way out. Failing to do so, you head in the direction the squirrel took Barney.

It does not take nearly as long to find him as you thought it would. You hear a dog barking and growling at something right next door. When you see what the dog is barking at, there you find Barney trapped in a corner. You would have to guess the squirrel had a run in with the dog and abandoned its captive in its own attempts to escape what is a fairly large Golden Retriever. If that dog has been living next to Barney, he has probably been tormenting the animal whenever he can get the chance. You had best go rescue him before the dog should decide to do something irreversible to him.

You are a little nervous to be approaching the angered dog. However, when you get close to it the dog calms down and acts as friendly as can be towards you. That confirms your thoughts about how Barney has been treating the dog. You pet it to show you are friendly and get it to leave Barney alone. Barney is yelling something at you, but his voice is way too high pitched for you to easily understand.

You reach into your pocket and pull out the piece of cake you brought from the house. That is probably not the best way to carry a cake around, but you will have some crumbs around if you need them. You hold out your hand and tell Barney he needs to eat the cake.

You have the following choices:

1. Barney eats the cake.

2. The dog eats it first.
