You enter the dark tunnel, almost certain it was your mother you saw.
A voice says, "Wake up baby!"
"Mama, is that you?" you call. The darkness begins to engulf you as you go father down the tunnel, the light behind you is fading and the light ahead is still so distant.
"Come to me baby." a voice says.
"Mama, I'm so sorry, you died because of me." Tears fall freely from your eyes, blurring your vision even more.
"No honey, it's not your fault. Please don't blame yourself." said the voice of your mother. "What you have is a gift. You don't make the future, you only see what has already been written."
The darkness around you is almost complete. If it were not for the light ahead, you would be lost. The image of the figure at the end of the tunnel seems a little clearer.
"But Mama, you died!" You collapse to the floor in sorrow. You feel guilty despite your mothers words.
"Please don't blame yourself, it was your father who brought this on me, not you." your mother's voice said. "Please wake up baby."
You tried to talk but the words didn't want to come. Finally you wipe your eyes and take a deep breath. "Dad?" you ask confused. Your sadness starts turning to anger.
With renewed strength you find the will to stand. "But why mom?" The image of the person at the end of the tunnel disappears and you only see light. You run towards the light, pushing yourself to go as fast as you can. "Mom, don't go! Please, I love you, just tell me why!"
"Wake up baby."
You run as fast and the light gets closer and closer.
"I think she's coming to." a voice says. The light is almost blinding.
"That's it baby, wake up."
You wake up.
Before you a doctor is waving is pen-light in your eyes, behind him is a nurse and your father.
"She's a very lucky girl! Other than a mild concussion she's alright, just a couple of scrapes and bruises." the doctor said. "I don't see any reason you can't take her home."
"Thank you so much doctor" your father said. "I'm sure she's eager to get home as soon as she can." He then turns to you and says, "Come on baby, let's go home."
