The feast

Naturally the people fled. The village was relatively small and even during a festival they're were not enough of them to take on demons they knew to travel in packs. Once the town was deserted the two dug in much like the wolves the were. "It's a little overcooked," Ginta observed, wrinkling his nose but Hakkaku had already started stuffing his face "But ith goot" He managed and Ginta followed suite.
After devouring most of the meat dishes they finally came to their senses "Do you think Kouga's going to be angry? should we get going?"
Ginta looked up, swallowing what was in his mouth. "Probably," He groanded, putting putting a hand to his now distended middle, all the food pushing it out firmly against his hand "I don't think I can do much running right now."
Hakkaku considered this, looking down to his own belly which was poking out from under his tops by now. "We should get going." He declared at last...but...
