It was some Slytherian boys

Stood behind the door was a pair of older kids, both Slytherins presumably. Snape thought that because one of the two was his cousin, Theodys Snape, who had been taken in to Slytherin the year before. Although, he'd wanted to go into Ravenclaw, for some intelligent discussion in his free time, so who knows who his friend was. Snape had seen Malfoy's slight look of surprise at the sight of two older sutdents. Perhaps most older students didn't interact with the youngsters. He waved at his cousin to come in.

"Hello, Severus." Theodys smiled. He was a relatively tall boy, being five foot eleven, but slender. His dark trousers, jacket and shoes, with a white shirt, looked like a muggle school uniform.

"Hello, Theodys." Severus replied. He looked up to his cousin, the skilled young potion student. His cousin had been studying potions at home, for fun, years before he went to Hogwarts. He'd made a splash in his first year, by being the first student in Slytherin for thirty years to impress Professor Bainbridge, the Ravenclaw potions master. He'd been awarded points for correcting the textbooks, which Bainbridge had authored himself.

"And this is Dominic. Dominic, this is Severus. He's the budding young genius I was telling you about."

Malfoy seemed impressed by the fact that an older student though of Severus as a 'budding young genius'.

"Severus, I was wondering if we could join you?"
