As i get older my memory is not as good so it take a lot of notes and make a little if lists. I know it's not the same thing and I do hope your short term memory will improve.

OK. The Trial. My question is, "Was it philosophical or precognitive?" Anyone who has dealt with the courts wonders, "What crazy person designed this?" Unfortunately, my daughter is currently enmeshed in the system and some of the hoops she has to jump through just don't make any sense at all. |

I don't ask because I assume people will disagree with me. Or maybe, I will disagree with them.I guess it depends on which of us is the more disagreeable. |

Maybe except for romance.
On the other hand, romance does involve a bit of applied philosophy by way of ethics. The Kiss Quotient is (as far as I can tell) one of the better examples.
Also, it seems like reading is still flourishing in various pockets. There is regular traffic at the new bookstore in my neighborhood, and it's not just romance that's capturing people's attention. Reading rates might be low now, but it seems to me like there is still time for a turnaround (especially since I regularly encounter Little Free Libraries that can use refills). |

I have very bad vertigo. I'm not safe near edges. I prefer looking up at cliffs not down. |

AI Again"
"The thing about politeness is that it was designed for interaction between humans." This is the crux of it all. Humans.
For what it's worth, AI is horrid.
- it gives wrong answers (so AI users do not care about understanding)
- it is utilising too many of the world's precious and limited resources (so AI users hate the world)
- it has been proven AI is making people stupider (so AI users are not smart)
We have coped for 10,000 years without AI. Newton, Einstein, Shakespeare, Dylan never needed AI to create and discover. Why do we need it now? |

Dang, You Mean I Actually Have WORK To Do?"
Well, she's napping, I tried to nap but had no luck. Thirty minutes in bed was all I could manage. I got up just in time to hear her PC boot (that defauly sound). I had backed up her files earlier today (I have a 2 TB SSD), so I just finished copying her files to the HD. All's well, no more pop ups (If there had been we'd have to talk to Microsoft & HP about why a PC restore that doesn't keep her files, failed). But all's well here on the home front. Thank God for the things I learned about PC's in life, and at Motorola. |

Things I've Done That Most Will Never Do"
Hmmm...
I won our school's spelling bee in 6th grade. Can't tell by my spelling now.
Went up Arenal (Costa Rica) with my vulcanology class when it was still "hot".
Traveled by banana boat down rivers and canals in Costa Rica.
Slept in a train (old fashioned) hostel in Lund, Sweden and a sailing ship hostel in Stockholm. |

I've never been to a NASCAR event either, though I was in Vegas they were building it up for their car race.
