![]() | The Addiction Alliteration ![]() Another masterpiece written by S. L. Stiles and myself. ![]() |
** Image ID #1607334 Unavailable ** The purpose of this Review is to go over things in your poem like word usage, structure, added imagery, formatting and emotions or feelings of the piece. I am curious to how you and Stacy do this together. Do you alternate verses or do you actually do it together, helping each other with each verse. At any rate, I like this shared masterpiece! Word Usage: You painted a clear messsage of what addiction is all about. what the user feels, what the consequences are of drug usage. The reference to the drug being a 'her' makes it quite (hmm, what is the word I am searching for?) spooky? Personal? Structure: There is a definite rhyme scheme that changes through out the poem. Some verses seem to follow a 'ababab' scheme while others seem to have each line rhyming with each other. Very nice. The flow was great! Imagery: *shudders* I found this a frightenly true picture of addicition. A drug induced dependency amidst this darken hole – craving a chemical convention, ever out of control. A tearful, terrifying rendition finally taking its toll – a seductive senseless satire; stealing this tired soul. The last verse could say it all but anchors this entire piece beautifully. Emotions/Feelings: Being that i have 'been there, done that', I can relate. I do, however, think this paints a clear enough picture that even a person who has never touched an illicit drug in their life could clearly see what 'using' causes users to become. Overall Impression: I think you and Stacy are an excellent team! this was indeed a masterpiece ![]()
