I know it's uncool to laugh at someone else's faux pas but this one was too funny. But to your credit I must say that it probably was a - for you - unusual work and you had to get used to it first and even more memorize a lot of new things. There faux pas can happen.

It was such a normal, ordinary scene and this misunderstanding brightened it up and turned an otherwise usual workday into a remarkable one. You couldn't have written about it if not for that. I could so imagine you standing there, wracking your brain about how to react best. What do you just say when someone's saying that to you?

However it could've easily been me as well. There's a reason I chose zoology as my branch in my minor, biology. I heard a basic lecture in botany in the orientation week... and, no joke, fell asleep. And must I extra mention that plant life doesn't make it long in my place?
