Wow! What a powerfully moving piece of poetry. Man, to say I love it would be an understatement. I love every aspect of it. I am amazed. I honestly feel this is a masterpiece.

The first stanza is brilliant. The anvil is the past we built upon. The vise is the present day that is squeezing the life out of us and it is being operated by the future. At least that is my interpretation of it. I love it.

The whole idea of our souls leaking blood is because of the way we live our lives is a hauntingly beautiful expression. Man this is good. BRAVO!

Seriously, thank you so much for sharing this. I am only sorry I can only give it 5 stars. I so look forward to reading more from you in the future.
