![]() ![]() ![]() Title: Remember Me Author: Alex ![]() Type: Poem I like the poem, the message is one I have pondered myself. I particularly like the logic behind it: that you do not care that they remember you for what you did, or what you didn’t, but that they simply remember you at all. No matter what I fail at, Remember the demise. The above couplet and another that comes later, are excellent ways of expressing that thought. It is important not only to be remembered, but also for people to remember how the end came. I am not sure why that last part is important, but you reiterated it later in the poem. Maybe by showing how you failed, it shows that you tried, and who can ask for more? I found the final stanza to be weaker than the other three. Rhyming “psyche” to “like” is more than a little strained, and the tendency of the reader is the read the word as it is really pronounced and so it appears somewhat clumsy with no real rhyme there. You could use many alternatives, rather than “psyche.” I think I would go in that direction. Still, I do like the poem, and understand the desire to be remembered, especially by those who cared about us when we were alive. That is what makes it especially hard to think about, that those we loved may find it easy to forget us. ** Image ID #1833995 Unavailable **
