Thanks for this piece. I wrote two similar pieces. Both are on domestic violence. They were written following a day in the office listening to women talking about their abusers and their connection, fear, love, and hatrd for them. Love is a very strange thing, and it sometimes lead to wrecking innocent lives. Impression: My impression is that there is hurt and anger, yet no one is speaking just raw emotions escaping. It reminds me of a relationship that is over. Suggestions for improving: Consder ending the is line at watching. "Standing sullen, bitter, quietly watching" What I liked: The vividness of the language describing the action of watching him watch you. Thanks for sharing and WRITE ON!
