What I liked:

I don't read a lot of poetry so please bear with me. This is a really neat little piece that tells the reader of the native kereru pigeon. It includes a lot of description of what it looks like as well as what it sounds like and your own thoughts on the bird. I think for such a small piece you manage to encompass a lot and it works really well.

As I mentioned I don't tend to read poetry so I'm glad you included the style of poem at the end, I found that quite helpful. I also really liked the fact that you explained what the Kereru pigeon was and where the name came from, it really helped to bring it all together.

I love that you included a picture too, it really added to the poem and helped the imagery. Thanks for sharing!
