I felt the pain, I felt the sadness in this poem. The author either is a close companion to Len Snee or has been gravely affected by the event.

I find the following line intense: "We ask why, why the tragedy and reckless waste?" I felt the emotion with this line.

On the technical side:

"You represent to us more than you ever knew." I think we can drop the word "to."

"Who has become more to us since all this this began." The word "this" got typed twice. I'm sure this is a slip.
