Usually, I use the a predefined template for reviews, but your items are so different that I always have to discard the usual formats. To the item, my first reaction was like, "Wow. Twelve hikes!! How much weight did you lose? LOL."

Honestly, I am sure your father would have loved these pictures. I enjoyed knowing about the kids and you through these pics. I also loved the trails. You know, I also love hiking, though I'm a city girl. My hikes usually involves the traffic-filled roads.

Throughout the piece I felt as if you are sitting across me and narrating all the hikes and year. I must say that you use the word "even" and "that" a lot. The piece in itself has some fifty "that"s. These words creep in most of our non-fiction narratives. Just be a bit careful of these words. They paint us as amateurs or so I have been told.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful gift idea. I might twist it a bit to give someone a gift.
