Overall impression: This ghost story has good descriptive detail. The plot is well developed, and the style is easy to read.

Characterization: The story is told from two viewpoints: Bridget and her mother. Bridget's account is creepy and scary. Her character is well established. The mother's character is well done. Her account is scary and sad.

Dialogue: Good dialogue that advances the story.
