Overall Impression: The answer to your question as posed is YES it will be worth it in the end. Becoming educated beyond high school makes for a well-rounded person in human relations. I loved the beginning because I taught 8th 9th 10th and substituted in other grades, just elementary children in bigger bodies....I'm sure of that! Those 10th grade boys were so immature and they never knew where to put their feet and legs except in the aisle...I tapped a few of them*Smile*

You mention 'regression' makes me think you were/are a teacher too. As teachers we always hoped what we taught them would still be there the next September, in expression "Of their own ideas and original thoughts" which is what I believe is the true evidence of 'being educated".

I do worry about young people today who face challenges just paying for college if they are accepted. A critical societal problem.
