Hi Mr. Me! This is a short, intense scene. You are describing a couple announcing their intentions to marry. I don't understand this sentence;"They smiled in grasp. kissing gracefully into a realised happiness." Why the word"grasp" or "realised"? I also don't understand the use of "his mind was fumbled". I also don't think someone can be "pitied upon".
