*NoteV* What worked ~
Nice rhyme and flow with this one. It moved like a story from the discovery of the stone, to wondering how far it traveled, and then to just what finding it did to brighten up the way. The imagery was good here as well, getting glimpses of others who may have carried the amethyst with them at some point in time, and how the small stone could have been used to pay off a debt, or enticing enough to steal.I could actually picture someone walking upon the beach and getting a glimpse of the stone that brought them to not only go over to it, but pick it up. Purple definitely is a bold contrast to the colors of sand and water and would stand out.

*NoteV* Impressions ~
I just had to go for the purple! And I'm so glad that I did. I have an amethyst crystal, the most beautiful stone I have. I can totally identify with the beauty of this gemstone, which you spoke of in your poem. It must be awesome to walk upon the beach often and see what the waters have left for you to find, things that stand out and grab your attention. A strong piece of writing that made me smile this morning and certainly brightened up my day. I'm still delving through your port, looking forward to reading more of your work. Write on!
